This project reimagines Beech Lane Farm as a cohesive rural cluster of homes, rooted in its historic character and landscape setting.
The proposals restore the Grade II listed farmhouse, convert the former stables into a new dwelling, and introduce a carefully positioned contemporary home, replacing later unsympathetic additions.
The design draws on the language of traditional farmsteads—simple forms, shared courtyards, and a strong relationship to the land—while introducing high-quality, sustainable homes suited to modern living. A comprehensive landscape strategy repairs the site, reinstating natural contours, enhancing biodiversity, and opening long views across the countryside.
Together, the scheme demonstrates how sensitive development can deliver much-needed, well-designed housing in rural locations—supporting local communities while respecting heritage, landscape, and the enduring identity of place.
