We are supporting a grassroots community group to secure the future of Luddendenfoot Community Centre through a community asset transfer from the local authority. Formerly the village’s civic centre and slipper baths, this much-loved building sits at the edge of a public park, offering a unique dual-aspect opportunity to reconnect the centre with its surrounding landscape.
Our work focuses on shaping a clear, deliverable vision—balancing ambition with practical steps. This includes re-engaging the building with the park, improving accessibility, introducing sustainability upgrades, and enhancing its heritage frontage to better reflect its historic character.
Alongside this, we are helping the trust as they develop a robust and sustainable business case to support funding applications and long-term viability. The goal is to return the building to community ownership, creating a welcoming, inclusive hub that serves Luddenden Foot for generations to come.
