We’re working alongside Halifax Opportunities Trust to support the revitalisation of the Grade II listed Queens Road Neighbourhood Centre, a historic 1874 building at the heart of Park ward.
Having stood empty and neglected in recent years, the building is to be reimagined as a vibrant, flexible community hub that reflects both its rich heritage and future potential.
Our role has been to help shape a vision that balances restoration with modern community needs—creating welcoming, accessible spaces for events, learning, and local services. The project will provide flexible rooms for workshops, meetings, and activities, while also reintroducing educational opportunities rooted in the building’s original purpose.
With a strong focus on sustainability and long-term community benefit, this transformation will support the ongoing regeneration of the area, ensuring the centre once again plays a vital role in serving local residents for generations to come.
