Gayle recently joined the panel at the inaugural RIBA North West Symposium, contributing to a discussion on the future of architectural practice and the realities of building financially sustainable studios. Drawing on Gagarin's experience as a small practice, she explored how procurement, fees and business models can better support design quality, regional practice and long-term resilience within the profession. It was a fantastic first event, with the ambition for it to become an annual gathering. Bringing practices together to share knowledge, challenge ideas and strengthen collaboration across the North can only be a positive step for the region and the profession.
